Lakers Clubhouse

What to do with the Lakers Clubhouse property near Okanagan Lake will be part of public consultations when the City of Vernon unveils its Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre Plan. One option is to make the site available to a non-profit or service club.

But councillor Bob Spiers says Okanagan Landing residents made it clear a few years ago that they didn't like that idea and were "pretty vocal.''Spiers told council ``let's sell it and drive on.''

 Councillor Patrick Nichol says it should all be used as greenspace.  Mayor Lippert says the green space will stay as is.
