113 year tradition....
It always amazes me when events like the IPE in Armstrong have been around for so long, generations of North Okanagan residents volunteering to keep the event going. So many events run their course and it is always sad, but there's just something about the fair that keeps people coming back year after year.
We asked our facebook friends what their favourite thing was and these are some of our responses -the smile on my kids' faces, Haasen hall, horses tail donuts, the animals. It was pretty cool yesterday to see a lion on our way to Grandmas, eating a candied apple and cotton candy and I am 58 yrs old, the fudge and the Rodeo. So many good reasons to keep going back. Last year 153,000 people went to the fair, with the forecast we could see a new record.
I'll be there tonight to kick off Sun FM's IPE Youth Talent Contest - see on the Dodge Truck Stage at 8pm.
Have a great day!
