I caught crabs this weekend!

If you love going to the coast- but aren’t too keen on how busy it is- try a few islands in- I visited Gabriola Island on the weekend- and what a summer paradise that was! Ocean, Sunshine, nature- so gorgeous!

Weekly farmer’s market was one of the best I’ve ever  been to- I bought a tie dye bikini and tons of fresh bread and natural soaps!  Even grabbed a custom made leather dog collar made from a leather smith!

I caught crabs? Yes! 6 to be exact! April Lyn’s Deadliest Catch- We went boating, dropped crab traps and caught a bunch- all put back though- even saw a sunfish! Kind of like a octopus mixed with a starfish! And I saw a seal! It was so cute! Also got the chance to hold a bright purple starfish- so awesome!

You can bring your dogs- I brought mine- they had a fantastic time- dogs are welcome everywhere- just bring a leash!

Fantastic restaurants, and ice cream in the Nanaimo Harbour is just a 15 minute boat ride away- I got custard icecream- it was from England!

I even saw some petro glyphs- which could have been up to 5000 years old!

If you have enjoyed our Okanagan and find yourself with extra time- take a highway and a couple ferries to this Lush Paradise- so worth it!
